My brother Nick both plays drums and does the vocal screaming/aping cameo. I love this tune and we recently started playing it live again. The title was inspired by a Helix tune called "Heavy Metal Love." As you can tell there was a real mishmash of influences. I remember consciously imitating Sheryl Crow, NoMeansNo, BTO and the final scream was definitely influenced by my obsession with Judas Priest's Rob Halford.
